Brake pad recommendations

Post by triggercut »

Hello group,

I'm shopping around for new pads (and possibly rotors) for my GS. I wanted to get EBC Greenstuffs as I've heard good things about them; however I haven't been able to find a set for the rear wheels, only the fronts. Does anyone know where I could get some, or who makes pads for the MX-3 that are just as good?

Thanks,
John

EBC doesn`t make greenstuff rear pads for the Mx3.
I`d say go with Ferodo pads and tar-ox rotors.

On another note, has anyone tried Ractive rotors?
are they any good?

Hawk street pads are excellent and inexpensive. Tirerack carries them. But hawk only makes front pads. For rears, i'm not so sure. I might get some crappy axxis pads since they don't produce as much brakedust as the generic autozone pads I have on there now. The rears don't do nearly as much work as the fronts anyways so getting expensive performance pads in the rear isn't going to help with much unless you want to lock the rear brakes up every time you press on the pedal :freak:
