Hi guys. Recently, I started noticing this problem where whenever I turn the steering wheel to the right I hear an air hissing sound coming somewhere from the steering column. I checked my power steering fulid and it's all up to the max. Can't think of anything else. Any idea what it might be?
Thanks in advance.
g

I was gonna say it might be your power steering, but you said it's full.
Does it make the noise when you turn both ways? Or only one?

Maybe a slipping drive belt on the steering pump? See if tightening it up helps, but once they start to slip, you usually need a new belt.

it's only when i turn the wheel to the right, no matter if the car is moving or not. kinda strange. and ya, the p/s fluid level is normal. ill check the belt out.

i have that hissing noise too. when i asked a mechanic about it he said it's normal...?? he said as long as it's not a grinding...or groaning...or any other loud noise. hissing is apparently is alright. uhm. if you hear otherwise though let me know. :D
