idle issues when starting

When I start my car my RPM's rev to 2500 every time...And no i am not pressing on the gas
any ideas ?<p>

check the TPS. my revs at about 2K on start up but drops after.

Mine does the same and as soon as the engine warms up it drops ... think this is standard ...

yea, it is pretty normal for idle to be high, especially in colder temperatures. If it doesn't go away once the car warms up, then I'd begin to worry. Also, maybe your gas pedal is sticking, try to pull it up and see if the idle goes down.
