always get wrong ball joint
always get wrong ball joint
Hi, just joined the UBB. I'm having a big problem finding ball joints for my 93 MX-3. I've ordered them from several autopart stores and they always send the wrong one. It's to big to fit in the steering nuckle. Does anyone know where I can get these in the US, my car was built 1/93(4cycl.). Will another ball joint from a different model work? If anyone has any info I would appreciate it, my car has been down for a week!
Re: always get wrong ball joint
Could always try a wreckers yard, and if all else fails Mazda. But those parts stores should be able to order the right part, what are they saying when you bring it back?

I've had the same problem. I can't find it from any local autopart store. My local dealer sells them for $62~ a piece.

One is a foreign autopart store. Pepboys told me about another place where they order by date of manufacture. It's hard to beleive a ball joint for this car is so hard to find.
