Hi,<P>I need to replace my Cat. Converter, as it has started blowing .<P>Welding is an option, but I am examining getting a replacement. Can a replacement cat improve performance?<P>I have browsed previous posts, but cannot find any definite recommendations. By-passing the Cat is not legal (as I understand it) in the UK. hey bud, cat upgrade is a LOT more performance, or u can alway take the cat off, that a crow bar n a hammer, knock a-- the stuff outa the inside of it, get sum JB weld seal that crack up, and run it straight, ur runnin a lot better as long as u dun get checked for emmisions
