Acceleration and Jerking

I've noticed that when I accelerate up ramps, or even pull from a stop sign that my mx-3 jerks hard into the next gear, even if I'm not flooring it... I want to upgrade the performance, but I need to know why the ride is so jerky first... It even skips my CD player sometimes!

------------------
thanks,
-=*Heather*=-
- '93 Mazda MX-3 GS -

This sounds like a problem some people have. With my 92 Mx-3 Auto Transmission the car jerks going into the next gear. It only happens in the beginning but is fine from there.... I hope it is not going to ruin the engine.
Dean

DO you think I should take it into the shop and let the Mazda people check out why the car is Jerking?? Or... is this only a minor problem? Why is it Jerking anyways???

The rubber mount on my exhaust fell off, ( or broke off ) and I had a terrible jerking like you said since my exhaust was pretty much loose, but safe to drive....

after I fixed it it was fine ... but you probably got a different problem.
