dynomat questions

Post by jdogsd1 »

hey i just got finished dynomating my 2 front dors and i realy like the sound quality. the next step is doing the trunk. after i finished the dors i was looking for the rattling that i would have to fix, and i found that most of it was coming from the plastic facing around the hatch. so my question is should i just do the trunk and hope that gets rid of the rattelinf on the hatch or should i focus on getting the hatch panaling to stop ratteling

I think the whole hatch is the biggest culpret.

I would suggest checking the recalls I beleive there was on for better hinges on the hatch.

Also I would tighten up the latch so you have to push a little harder to get it too close tighter.

Another tip (haven't tried it yet on the mx-3), but either get new weather stripping, - or take 8 or 4 gauge wire and run it through, inside the weather stripping to make a serious seal. Did it on the hatch of Renegade SUV. Made a serious difference.
