hi, i'm new to MX-3. i just want to get a reliable car to commute and save some mileage on my other cars. i test drove a 92 mx-3 1.6L stick shift with only 18,000 original miles. yes, it's only 18K miles. the car is in excellent condition and the interior is just like new. an old man used to keep this car and took good care of it. is $4000USD a good price or it's just too expensive for a 92 car? any reliability issues with MX-3? please help me out as i have to make a decision by tomorrow. thanks so much!!

In the Black Book, it is mark down as 7000$ Canadian.
But if that car got so much low millage, why did he own it???
Was that car always in a garage?? You might have to provoke a shock to the car if you bring it in winter condition..
So, if you want that car, and want to keep it the way it is, you might have to consider that car won't be a daily driver. But too, you could use it a daily driver, and say : " I get all those miles to do now" :)

i plan to drive this car everyday and i think it's good that i got a lot of mileage to use. i'm planning to take it Vegas, SF to save the rental car costs. => i'm in So Cal by the way.
anyways, the original owner (a grandpa) used to own 4 cars (2 '84 & '86 Ferrari, 1 MX3 and 1 thunderbird i believe) and he brought the MX3 to the mechanic who maintains the Ferrari and drives the car occassionally. that's why it has low miles and it's still in very good condition. i test drove it and the car is stable, no vibration or whatsoever on freeways, even i slammed the brakes and the steering wheels doesn't move and no wind noise...i just think it's rare to have a used car in such good condition and want to get it as my daily driver. even i plan not to spend $4000, but if you guys think that's a good deal, i don't mind paying extra. thanks!!

Thats a killer deal, I always try to buy cars from people like that, straight body, never seen winter, garaged, that kind of stuff. My winter beater car is like that.

you are right. always garaged, never seen snow/winter. and the interior is just perfect. i think i'm gonna get it. but i just want to get some opinions...also, i think even i drove like a year or so, it may only have at most 40-50K miles which i can re-sell it at a reasonable price and still don't "lose" that much money...=>

i plan to keep this car stock...not like i don't like modding my car. i've modded one of my other cars and i just don't want to spend those money and time into this now. also, i'm afraid some haters out there will mess up with it. (my whole car got keyed 2 weeks ago)
