I had one of these alarms but didn't have the windows hooked up. All I had was the remote start(on a 5 speed very cool) starter kill and the usual doors and trunk release..I enjoyed the alarm and payed some where around 600 installed...I would recamend this alarm but it comes with a heafty price.........sorry about my bad spelling......

From my experience, sometimes you have to deal with the installer. I had the following staff installed {remote door lock, 2-stage shock sensor, remote start, starter kill, and regular alarm. My installer told me that they want about $300 us, and on top of that, they wanted about $80 for remote start. They told me that it cost about $120 if I install that alone, but I said no. Right after that, they offered me $20 installation for that remote start. I still thought about it, and let them install that. The remote start is as good as remote door lock, and if you live in the colder places, it'll help you a lot. Oh by the way, that $300 (I believe it's between $300 and $400) include the security system itself since the one I had didn't work as security system and they traded mine and theirs that was on clearance (that was the last one they had and the manufacturer just went bankrupt.)<P>bungo

ah, the beauty of doing car alarm/audio installs for a living. i can take a bulldog remote start and make it work (yes, with a neutral safety switch) on a 5 spd. I wouldn't do it to any car but my own for insurance purposes, and if i were to do it to mine, i certianly wouldn't use a bulldog. but i need to get that done soon, cuz it's cold in the mornings!
