I'm looking to upgrade my subs from 2 8" to 2 12" subs. my amp is 2 channel 300w and 4 ohm stable bridged, currently I don't run my subs bridged because the amp was cutting out. I'm looking at getting 2 12" MTX thunder4000. I would like to use the same amp but bridged this time and need to know whether to get 2 8 ohm or 2 4 ohm subs so my amp won't cut out when it is bridged.

well if your amp is 4 ohm stabel you should be able to run 2-8ohm subs bridged with no problems, if it cuts out on you, your amp is junk!

oh and i forgot to mention that 2 -8ohm subs bridged will give you every bit of power you can get from a 4ohm stable amp, the only other way to achive max power would be to use 1-4ohm sub
