Has anyone ever tried to install a freeair woofer in mx-3? I´m trying to make a stealth install and am planning to install one and set it working through rear seat.
As rear trunk space is very important for me, I do not want to install any enclosures for the woofer. Max what I can do, is to make a removable one, but I think I´d like the freeair version more...
Any input? Can anyone recommend any specific good element?

i tried it both in the spare well and the rear seat, both installs sounded crappy using three different type free air woofers. You can try it, but the mid-low freq sounds terrible.
[ March 20, 2002: Message edited by: Sonicxtacy02 ]

Ok. But have you, or anybody else, tried to install it into the trunk cover? It (cover)will definitely need some extra supporting but this is also a possibility.
Probably the entire rear compartment has to be sealed better on freeair type woofer anyway.
