you realy cant get a good system for that.....most i say is leave the stock speakers and get a new head unit.....
and an amp kit wired up.....but make sure they dont wire it to the battery....then save and get some subs....
or check out
<A HREF="

hehe, read above, he wants to know what kind of security system. well anyways for that type of money (and i'm not too familiar w/the US to CDN conversion) but i think maybe a Viper is the best you can get. Clifford kicks a-- but they are costly.

Are black widows a good alarm? Theres one with Pager support and thought about getting that one. Ive never known anyone that has had one before. If anyone has one or knows about them let me know what you think of them

Thanks guys.
I pretty much have a stock MX-3, so I only need a basic one...one that goes off if you shake the car or open the doors and stuff. I certainly don't need a top of the line one.
So Viper is the brand eh? Do they sell them at Futureshop, or is performance store the best place to go?

I got a Prestige installed in my car for a total of $170 USD....works pretty good. The sensitivity is adjustable, has a double-kill switch, and goes off whenever the car is shaken, or any of the windows break or doors open...

It was on there when i bought it so i have no clue how expensive it was or anything but it seems nice. Has one setting where the alarm will go off if you try to just open the door, and another setting that has the sensors all around the car so if you touch it (not really touch, but kind of bump lightly) then it will go off until whatever it is has stopped touching the car. It seems like a good alarm system to me-it works!

If I was living in a big town like Ottawa, my insurrance would pay my Security Alarm!

I'm doing business with BelAir, I dont know if that avalaible in Ottawa. Don't forget that I own a SOCH '93.
Well, maybe your insurance compagny could pay the anti-start protection. Cost free, and it would lower your insurrance

Ask about it at your insurance
Throwing my 2 cents again...
