got a talon tsi, need help

by racing all the time
I own a mx-3 and now Im the proud owner of a 94 talon tsi awd. Im repacing the stock stereo with an aftermarket cd player (the one I had in my mx) I found the batt lead and the neg. along with the all time power wire. I hooked it all up and it worked, I hooked up the speakers and it sounds good. Only thing is is the all time powere supply is not giving all time power. I know its the right wire because I tested it. I tried screwing the unit in to the metal brackets bewcause I know they ground to the frame and still no all time power. I think I might need a seperate ground for the all time wire but Iv had no luck. Any Ideas. Thanks

Make sure you have the car turned off with keys out of ingition & test the wire for a constant power supply. If you do not have a constant power that is not the right wire.
What did you test the wire with?
A light up tester a Volt meter?
Make sure you have a good ground on the light up tester.

If this is what you got and it's still messing up on you. Then run a new fused wire from your battery, then you know it will be good.
