I have had an mx-3 for a while now its a little 4 cylinder, and want to add a little horse power to it

i have about $500 and was wondering what smaller mods i can do it untill i get some more cash, i know some things about cars, but not a whole lot, i am still in the learning process, so all details would be great

thanks for any suggestions.

bro get an exhaust or and intake.
Now if u are smart u will save up and get a engine swap like 80% of the people in here.
My recommendation however is a SUPER AIR FUEL CONTROLLER II from ebay for like 300 bucks. GET IT DYNOED TUNED i bet it will give you an extra 8-10 WHP!!!>!!!!!

$500 will do intake and exhaust.
Also try to get upper strut tower bars. They make a huge difference.
Engine upgrades will work for $1000+ (for parts alone), however if you have a good engine so far you may not want to replace it

$500 will get you a BP swap. And, it'll give you more horsepower than anything else, except nitrous.
