its obvious that u shouldn't drive w/o an air filter, but i had a performans airfilter, and it sorta got riped off at the rubber part sumhow, and i lost it, so now i have no airfilter, i ordered one off of ebay, and it should be here on fri? do u think its a bad idea for me to be driving for the next like 3 days? its not dirt roads, and its only like 4 miles a day...
thx

Yes, definitely a bad idea cuz your risking you're motor for want of a few dollars filtration. If you're talking about a perf. filter for a stock airbox, spend the 12-$15 at the local autoparts place for a paper one and drop it in NOW. You can always save it for the future if your replacement perf. filter gets ripped up again... Man, just think of what ANY unfiltered dust/debris would do to your internals. Not worth the risk. Even stretching a piece of old bedsheet across there would be better than just running the intake naked...(& that's NOT what I'm recommending either :( ) ...my 2 cents.

see, right now i have no "airbox", i had the prefomance filter, basicly right off of the MAF, but im buying a new CAI, so to go buy a new one i would needa spend like 25$... but yah i don't really plan on driving it..

ok, I understand your set-up better now. Still, if it was me I would not take the risk. Your call. Like the old saying goes... don't do the crime if ya can't do the time... something like that anyway.

Atleast get a wires screen to cover the intake with so no large debris gets sucked up.

You might wanna goto a autoparts store and browse threw the air filters, you might be able to find something you can adapt easy.

For temporary you can go to an auto parts store and buy a(i truly hate to say this) apc filter for like 15 bucks i think, and you would have an extra. Or get a piece of screen AND a piece from a t-shirt to make like a filter by tying them down. For about 3 days either one would work.
