Need help Quick

My MX 3 Makes a turning sound when I put it in gear it donnt move I thought it was the Axel but its not. So Know i think it is the Tranny. I found a tranny for 550 but i dont hav enough to put it in when i get it. But then I heard that a protege tranny might work.
I have a 94 dohc please tell me if the tranny will work from the protege or any other mazda or Ford.

not fun at all... the guy said "thats not a sports car" then he went on to tell me not to double clutch... thats when i got mad at myself. lol...
