Man, I have not been on this board in forever! oh well.....

I need a new clutch, I live in Virginia Beach, VA. One guy said he can get an ACT Stage 2 clutch kit shipped to my door for $320....is that a good deal?

Second of all, i got this guy who said he could install a clutch for me for $120 labor, a friend of a friend...I know he knows a lot, but I am wondering, what else will we need too buy and what pointers tips should I tell him, since I know he has never worked on an mx-3.com...

he said to just get a clutch kit and find the torque settings for the car....anyone know this? Its a 95 RS?

the guy installing it shouldnt need anything more than some clutch/brake fluid if he undoes the line. the ACT kit comes with a clutch alignment tool(mine did at least). 120 labor isn't bad. the tq specs for the pressureplate should be in the online shop manual. 320 isnt bad but ACT doesnt really offer stages: its your choice of a street/heavy duty/extreme pressure plate and like wise for the disk(street/6 puck/4 puck). as far as im aware you can mix and match. if you like grabbing gears and hate your tranny go with an extreme pressure plate and 4 puck disk; thats what i did

theres a whole bunch of you mxers in VA beach isnt there? i think i might have to come down there if you guys have a meet this season. lemme know.

That a pretty good price. I paided the same price,. Did you get it off ebay? You will want to change the clutch line to a stainless steel one, because the act clutch is harder, and the rubber may not push enough fluid for pressure. Plus your master cyclinder, you may need a long push rod, the master cyclinder stock rod will not push enought pressure to push in the fork on the clutch.
