I have a small leak/hole in my front exhaust manifold ??

My car is running great except I took it to a mechanic and he said it has a leak or a hole or something in the front exhaust manifold. He said to take it to a "under the hood garage" I'm confused. Is it having a leak bad? Will that cost a lot to repair? 
If anyone knows stuff about that..please respond! I'm really scared! Hopefully its just a small repair =X
