Exhaust Install Question

This maybe a dumb question. But is it typical or normal for a shop to remove your o2 sensor when you get new exhaust. I mean like whole piping and stuff?

If they're replacing from the exhaust manifolds back, then yes - they have to remove them.

k, i got my cat removed because i needed a new one, and just put another resinator in. then the piping starts where the cat was. is that from the exhaust manifold??

the o2 sensors are in the down pipe but before the cat most people just get a "cat back" and there is no need to remove the O2's
