auto car stall out

ok i have been leaking oil for a while now but its not much. just a small circle on the ground and not much oil lost. anyway the other day i was sitting at a light and the car cut off after about 3 min of idle time.then tonight i was drving down the road picking up speed when the tach dropped and the check engine light came on. that lasted all of maybe a sec and alls normal again. any suggestions?
