Car wont go anywhere!!!!!!

Guesss what guys....while on my way to my lady's house, when all of a sudden my cars starts to lag in acceleration... i had to come to a stop sign and when i tried to go at green the car moved for 10 secs.at 5 mph... then stopped moving altogether... i'm guessing the clutch went out??? any suggestions on what to do??? if i get a protege tranny will it line up to my originall 1.6l dohc??? and then,later on when i get a gtx will it affect it in any way??? please help!!!!!!!!! phiet<BR> :roll:<p>[ May 21, 2002: Message edited by: PHieT ]

was the car still running? Any sounds or smells before it happened?

yes the car still runs.... but if i put it in any geaars it just stays in neutral... hopefully its my clutch.... and<BR>ot my tranny.........lolz..... peaace mx-errs<P> [img]shrug.gif"%20border="0[/img]<p>[ May 21, 2002: Message edited by: PHieT ]

i had had the same problem...i thought it was my clutch.....but it wasnt i had a full tune up and a new valve cover gasket..and still bogging down...so i am taking it to another mechanic that worked on my old car<BR>jason
