more bad news
I just had the alternator fixed today, changed both the alt. belt and the ac belt because i had squeeky belts it cost me $300 for the whole job which i think is expensive and know today i drive it and the check engine light comes on which has never happened to me before and the car starts shaking and it wants to stall when i stop. I don't know what the hell is wrong, hopefully somebody can help me figure out this problem
jamie
95 mx-3

You may want to open up the hood and see if everything is connected. Maybe they left something out. Sounds like a loose tube or hose to me.
Check: (all this is in easy reach)
PCV valve is inserted all the way in
The MAF meter cable and connector is plugged
All of the black plastic hoses should be tight.
The air intake hose (the biggest one in there) should be tight
sensors, plugs, grounds, any loose stuf that looks like it should be plugged in somewhere.
RF
