Question about making taillights all red
I want to eliminate the amber turn signal on my taillights and make them all red. I have seen people paint them with a transparent spray paint type stuff but I fear that I will not do a good job and mess them up. There is this stuff made by Kool Tint called Tail Light Vinyl, check it out: Kool Tint Tail Light Vinyl Does anybody think this stuff would be a pain in the a-- or would it look cool? Any insight would be appreciated.

[This message has been edited by finchuck (edited June 28, 2001).]

I sprayed mine. I thought it would be way to hard to get the plastic on without any wrinkels
------------------
Clear White 2.5L GSR

You had this post before, just use Testors model paint with transparent candy apple red, and mask off the reverse and everything that is black, use lite coats at first and let dry between coats.

I might trade taillights....they would have to be in good shape....and the price right...how much were you thinking? How much are you willing to pay...I know that if I screw it up it's going to cost me about $100 do buy new lights.

quote:
Originally posted by finchuck:
i found a guy that does them for $180 but i just never got the whole deal done. im liking the all red tails though. does anybody have a pair already modified that they'd be willing to sell or trade with a cash kicker?

------------------
Liquid_Metal
'94 MX-3GS
Mazda_MX3GS@yahoo.com
www.MX-3GS.com
