Taras and I will be posting the GB in 2 days. All the details will be there for all to see. We have decided that this will be a 5 person GB. A small deposit will be asked of all interested. Once the covers are made the balance will be required. We will go in sequence of first come first serve. Shipping will be extra from the covers cost. I'd like to see all 5 people dedicated to the GB because we lost two people on the SHIFTER BOOT GB with no warning or email. The request for material choices is wide so within the next 2 days, leave your material choices for me to see.
Thanks, Perry Cosgrove

Yeah, we will take paypal, but would rather prefer money order/draft/bank transfer,

Once all the details have been worked out, I will post an official thread in the GB forum. Before posted, Jeff would also need to look at the details.

We have spent many hours discussing this with Perry and hope that this is going to be a success.

As far as an install kit is concerned, the covers will include everything that you need to install it easy yourself. I think you can use regular pliers instead of the hog ring tool. Perry can elaborate more as he knows how these things install.

Kevin,
Quite soon you'll have the official GB. I'm keeping in contact with you about your situation. Jeff still has to give the go ahead. We don't quite have all our ducks in a row.

One question: Is it hard to make fit to the seats and side panels? On the pictures it looks like you've stitched it to the seats, 'cause it just sits so perfectly! I'm afraid of getting wrinkles and all that other nasty stuff...

Lars,

The thing is, when most people think about seat upholstery, they think it is just the material that covers the seat foam cushions. The truth is, properly done seat re-covers are also stitched with foam underlay to them that is why when you look at the pattern stitched on the material, it is not a flat stitching, it is more of a 3D relief. That is because there is a foam underlay. That is how factory seats are done and how mine were done as well. This also ensures proper fit and avoids wrinkles.

Cheers.

I'll ask Perry to post pictures of various fabrics. If you have a specific colour(s) in mind please let us know, so we can post the one you are interested in.

If there will be more people interested we may hold another GB, but it is not certain. Depends how this one will turn out and if Jeff will allow another one. For now it is just this one. I think it will keep Perry busy for a while.

Yes Lars, these seat re-covers will be done properly, so they last you another ten years. Top quality fabrics (you already have leather samples, not your cheapy Chrysler/GM stuff , but BMW quality), fully reinforced seams, foam underlay all around the seating surfaces, strong nylon thread stitching, top quality fitment. I am sure there are more attributes that I do not remember. I am trying to get Perry to throw in an extra lumbar foamy in the deal too.. I think this is the biggest shortcoming of stock seats. I love mine. This way you will get very comfy seats that will look great and last long. This guy does upholstery for top collectors cars in North America, nontheless.

As far as shipping, I think you are looking at about E$30-50 or so. You can go to http://www.canadapost.com or http://www.ups.com and see what you will come up with. Shipping from postal code V8Z6E3.

Cheers.
