the factory hardware for the mini sides have anchors which are shaped to fit in those rectangular holes. Remove the plug, insert the anchor, and screw.

Awesome! Thanks for that, Wyt! Haha can't believe I didn't think of that until now

and funnier still that the guy at Mazda didn't know/think of that either! Might try going back there today if I get time...

Ah, right! Thanks! Those are from a car we call the Holden Commodore (VX, 2000-'02 model), which is designed & built in Australia. I believe we exported it for a little while as the Pontiac GTO or something, to the US, then it's coupe brother, the Monaro, got exported as the G8...? I think that's right, anyway. I think the current VE Commodore version is now sold as the G8. The VX Commodore was also exported to Europe under the name Opel Omega, I think... It was pretty much a plug & play thing, one of the easiest mods I've done (except the chrome door handles!)
If anyone's after a set, you can find them on the Australian ebay (just add .au) for about $20 +p&h. I got mine for $20 from a local wrecker...

I finally got the mini sides on!!!!

hahaha... not like it took me like 5 weeks! Bahahaha! What can I say, Imma speed demon when it comes to such hardcore mods as installing some stock-standard mini side skirts

hahahahahahaha
Anyway, I'm super happy with how it looks, I just need to wash Zeke, then he'll look great! We had a storm come through the other day, so ignore the dirt & other crap he got all on him from that!

Please also excuse the crap quality/lighting in this photo! I'll take better ones when I get the time/have a clean car! (Probs won't happen until sometime in January! HAhaha

Ethan likes this
Hahaha
Thanks guys, Ya, I'm super happy with how it turned out, must admit I was a little bit apprehensive to begin with, and was really really unsure as to whether I'd actually like it. Doing all those small changes has really lifted the appearance of it, IMO, and I couldn't be happier
Probably won't have any more time/money to do anything more to Zeke before I go overseas, so he's probably going to stay looking/driving like this for quite some time... (like at least 18 months!)... just as well I'm happy with it! Haha
BTW, mazda915, all cars in Australia are RHD, except old old old Porsches, or imported American muscle

RHD is totally the way to go - works well for those who are right-handed, as your primary hand is the one that stays on the steering wheel, and your left (secondary) hand is the one which changes gears... Haha

Oddly enough, I'm left handed, so RHD is a no-go for this guy!
That being said, I'll take some early American Muscle off anybody's hands...

I love MX-3s, but that doesn't mean it's my favorite.

Haha yeah, but my sister's a leftie, and she prefers driving manual & has absolutely no problems with RHD

As for American Muscle, it's all yours - not a fan even slightly! Ha ha... IMO, the fun is in the twisty bits more than outright accelleration, meaning euro or rice is what I like

Also, the styling of Jap or Euro cars is far more towards my taste! Although, I'll admit that the current Chevvy Camaro is pretty hot (but then, it was designed in Australia by GM Holden's design team, so technically it's not an American car... even though it's not sold in Australia!! Ha ha)

I love MX-3s, and a few other imports, but to be honest... I would give my left(and possibly right as well) nut for one of these:

It's not for everyone, I can respect that; Still, It's not the only car I'd love to see in my garage.

Sweet Charger! Whats in it? 383?
I personally like anything with tits or tires. (My other Money pit)

Unfortunately I don't own one...
yet.
According the the url for the image I posted(google

), she packs a 440 under the hood. That's likely the route I'll be going, as the Hemi costs more than a clean shell...

So, it was boxing day evening & I was at home, slightly bored, my car was clean-ish and it was a beautiful, balmy summer evening, so I decided to go for a cruise & take photos along the way, just for the sake of it. Now we'll just have to pretend that the photos were taken on some you-beaut flashy camera and not just my phone, so imagine these pics in HD quality!! Ha ha...

Again, sorry for the bad quality - I think this would've been a real good one if taken on a better camera!

And this one was a crack at being a little more creative haha... it looked amazing in real life, if only I was able to capture it! That lower light was the moon, and there was one star in the sky, with the sunset colours still faintly in the sky. As I looked down the side of the car from the rear, it looked really really cool, especially with all the light reflecting off the paintwork... anyway... imagine it!
I know there's no particularly amazing photos there, but I'm kinda still on a coffee high from work today, and its late & I just wanna sleep! Haha
Hope you all enjoyed your Christmas/boxing day, etc.
