Dude, 15/16 is bigger than 7/8.
Just for you I went outside to the garage, though the rain, in my underwear, to look at my knock sensor socket.
Its 15/16 or 24mm.
I suggest you pick up a $30 caliper. It solves these issues. Even a vicegrip or channel-lock and a measuring tape can measure a bolt in a bind.

Thanks for the information

So, I made a socket. Made it really nice.
I go to put it on the sensor, and i put the wire in the slot to get the socket on. Then then wire falls out.
That's right, just falls out of the knock sensor.
There is an inch of some sort of black tar covering up where this thing is supposed to connect on the sensor. It's the worst substance I've ever come across in my life. If AIDS was a visible substance, this would be it.
I'm trying to clean it off now, but there is no wire left in the sensor. I have no idea how I'm going to reconnect the wire.
I'll keep a log of this.
I really hope whoever designed the knock sensor for this engine gets falsely accused of kiddie porn or something.

So I put my car on jackstands to get at most of the wiring to put covers on them. When I drove it afterwards I got a noise starting at 20mph and gets louder (constant noise) the faster I go. Could one of my rear brakes be touching or binding? All i can think of is that when i had the e brake on to jack it up, the brakes got stuck. I can't tell where the noise is coming from but it gets loud.
Any ideas?
