I'd love a CF MS Bumper, but I race, and the last thing I'd want to do it damage that :S

well cf is a better stronger material than fiberglass so i would actually say it would be better for you to get a cf mazdaspeed bumper vs a fiberglass one

Which bumper?

I own the molds to MS and MP5, both of which can be laid up in CF as apposed to FG.

I'm liking the hatch Idea. in terms of the polycarbonate (lexan) rear window; maybe there is a way to use heater blankets, a big vaccum bag a sheet of lexan and our factory glass to mold right around it and trim to size.. sound crazy?

The biggest hurdle is demand. I've done several BB's here. Unfortunately the last one went to s--- due to no fault of my own, leaving a sour taste in us all for future BB's.

I'm trying to do my part by replying on time to see whether or not we can get enough guys here interested... So far, I'd say at most 2-3 guys seem serious enough which is a far cry from a minimum 10 which in this case is still on the lower end in terms of breaking even from past experience.

These endeavours take up alot of time = money...

Cf would be stronger, but I can't imagine Mikey spending the extra money to have it in CF knowing it will get cosmetically ruined.

Although the fabric itself won't tear like FG would in a crash due to the weave in CF, the resing can still crack leaving nasty looking scars.

Mike, maybe a weaved FG bumper would be a better idea for your application?

heh, if i got a CF bumper i wouldn't have to worry about trying to repaint and paint-match my current one. Than match it with CF fenders...whoa, that's alot of CF. Damn I'm getting turned on by the idea of having that much CF on my car

Honestly, not too sure. I've managed to keep my current FG MS bumper impact-free, i'd probably go the pure CF route.

Currently there is no mold for the OEM sides. If demand is big enough, this would be an easier possibility than the Hatch due to comoplexity and costs...

I would need donor sides.. I'd say roughly speaking CF sides @ $450 ish (for the pair) + shipping.
