I will let the mods handle it next time. I really didn't have any right to post anything. Its their job to lookout for it not mine.

True, but look at the benefit from your post. We have a potential welcome forum in the works. You gave the intro forum the bump it needed, by allowing me to get ticked off from 'derek', lol.

Sometimes benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

bwahaha I voted for u to leave forum although I don't really mean it :)... I think alot of good things have been said and a intro page is great idea. I know when a noob comes in and its an obviouse search answer I in most cases just explain please use search in future and then give them the answer anyway so they don't think we are all jerks. I feel I should be on good behavior on this site weather a stupid question is asked or not 4 the simple fact its not my site and I respect the boss man for letting me suck all the info from here I can. Plus te older I get the more I don't feel like arguing and fighting on a computer ;)

I think I kind of agree with this. I too am guilty of telling certain people to search, but I try to do it in a nice way.

Maybe it'd be a good idea if nobody replied, and maybe a mod posted a message as simple as, "Please read the sticky". This may cut down on some of the needless bickering.
Same, but I can't help but feel obligated to tell newer members that they are doing stuff wrong and correcting them, or directing to where they can learn the info needed.

SuperK is particularly guilty :(

I promise to try my best and keep my frustrations in the "off topic" thread and out of the important ones...

... and to be nice and play with others. I won't be mad if I don't win.

I would personally LOVE the introduction forum idea. Unfortunately, no matter how hard the mods try to idiot-proof the forums...

Real-life always has a way of creating bigger, better idiots. It'll still weed out those who deserve a constructive response, and those who ought to be ignored.
