Wow... been a while since I checked this thread. 13flat, brother, please, just leave the board, and take your pipe-dreams with you.

Don't even begin to think you can walk in here with no proof that you even own an MX-3... let alone pics of it, and talk like a pro.

:2thumbsup:

Yeah, that's right, it's a timeslip that belongs to Jeff Abrams, who owned a Turbocharged MX-3 that he spent 10 years building... and he didnt reach 13 flat.

:2thumbsup:

That is correct! That is Dave Lauzier's 10-second MX-3... and you are also correct in knowing you will never reach that mark as long as you "own" your MX-3.

Talk is cheap on this board. You need to back it up. So until you show us your cash filled engine bay, your little shots are just here to make us laugh.

Derek you are one cool dude!!!!!

I don't know why you guys even acknowledge this 13flat guy is even posting here...probably just pissed off cause he can't afford many of the modifications you guys do with you're cars.

I think hitting 13 flat is possible with N/A klze. The reason why jeff abrams has only a 13.7 with turbo is because there is way too much wheel spin and sometimes less power will create more grip and better times depending on the suspension.

STREETTHISMX6 on probetalk has gotten his mx-6 to 13.5 n/a and a race weight of 2550 lbs. So basically if you duplicate his mods and driving skills to a stripped down mx-3 at say 2350 lbs it could be done but it's not gonna be streetable by any means.

now to get back to the initial topic of everyone bashing 13 flat. Yes 13 flat is out of line but i feel where he is coming from. There are two types of crowds that own mx-3's and sometimes I get upset because we have lost a lot of great knowledge(David Coleman) due to the mx-3 all show no go crowd being the more popular choice for mx-3 owners. It is soo bad that I feel almost ashamed to reply mx-3 when someone asks me what kind of car I own. To be perfectly honest, I think that if you show guys could at least invest a quarter of your money into performance that would make a world of difference. I am totally sick of seeing these 100 hp mx-3's with $10,000 in looks. In my case it is the other way around and it is IMO more rewarding. But hey, this is just an opinion of a 25 year old that was into cars years before the fake and the delirious ever even existed.

Basically I am with 13 flat. I think the whole theme behind the Toronto mx-3 club it rice, and thats why a lot of people dont go to the meets.
U guys r just children. U r wasting money on a car that stock can be beaten by most beaters. I have a v6 as my winter beater and it sucks for low end power. I also have a honda prelude srv and this car is a thousand time more fun to drive.
I mean great, atleast u r in with the civic guys with your fugly tail light conversions and fat *** park bench wings. With that $3000 u could have dropped in a ZE which would be way more fun. Rice ruins the good look of the mx-3. I am putting my $3000 into a ze in the winter. also rice won't add to your resale value so u r just throwing money into making an 88hp (sohc) automatic look like it has 300hp.

Where do all these junior members get off coming in with 5 posts and acting like they call the shots in the MX-3 community.

I am surprised... but kinda relieved... that im not seeing a LOT more **** talking from the vets on the site..

Good to know that we are all more mature than these people who just like to bash

Well all I have to say is Curt is very diplomatic.
Now pearl, u r a joker  I beat a stock Ze and by the way my 200hp VTEC is a 2.2L 4 banger whereas your 2.5L v6 is much bigger and I can still hand your a s s to u in a rice

if you want speed buy a syclone, Opel astra opc (50 to be sold), saleen s7, supra, skyline, rx-7.

if you want style buy what you are into

if you want luxury but bmw, mercedes, porsche, ferrari

if you want sport luxury and speed buy a buggati veyron

until you children learn that not everyone thinks like you keep your opinions to yourself.

as for the 13kid  Go strip your car down and build a VERY, VERY strong ZE and pump the bad boy with nos for your 13. It wont be streetable but can be done

DVH is right, we should all jus get along cause its not like we drive civics or something common. This Toronto club has good people and It is not fair that people that have 5 posts can insult them. In the most uninsulting way possible I'd like to say that this rice trend is very over and you will see that a clean lookin car is more appreciated then one that is full of ebay mods. It might hurt to hear this but I am doing this as a favor because I see that the future for rice is evaporating and instead of following a trend, being unique and having tasteful mods that keep the clean look(JDM) but still reaks of performance is the way to go. Next summer I will guarentee a bigger following for the Toronto Mx-3 club as we just have to cater to everyones needs a little more.
