It's official...Jeff Abrams is one of the funniest mo-fo's on here.
Can we post this supreme sarcasm on the index page?
At one time I actually wondered about these "electric turbos". Until my boss, one time (first) owner of a bracket racing 68 Shelby Cobra, dispelled my illusions on all the historical crap these fu@#kers are peddling. Then I had to change my own clutch and found out how repairs and basic maintenance take priority over bull@#it products.
Please have pity on the unknowing...
Suggest that they buy an advanced timing modchip instead.

funny...cuz a lot of the 1.6 sohc civics with inatke exhaust and maybe a lil more(non si) i spank...everyone is all like i got v-tech by v-tech in those are over rated...nice thing about v-tec is the extended rpms but it doesnt boost yo *** ...anyone who says i can feel my v-tech kick in is a fool...cuz when i reach 3000 i feel my car pull harder too...like the dual stage mani(drivin a friends gsr) it just kept the accel nice and hi, didnt feel a kick or stuff...

Wow...
Drive an S2000 if you want to feel, hear, and see VTEC hit. And VTEC doesn't allow higher rpm. It simply allows you to run 2 different cam profiles, which is a VERY COOL THING.
And it's VTEC, not v-tech.

i gotta agree w/ ProtegeSTS...i used to have a '93 civic Si hatchback...it was the SOHC motor, but still had Vtec on the intake side of the motor(7200 rpm redline on an SOHC! lol). it was a kickin little car, it only weighed 2200 pounds, and you really can feel the cams change over onto the bigger lobes...no, it doesn't snap your neck, but you feel a little something going on, like the extra kick when u turn off your air conditioner when u are accelerating hard...the common vtec switchover point is around 5500 rpm...i never went past redline, but i do know that that motor didn't wanna stop going when i would get to the higher points on the tach...i personally think that vtec type technologies are one of the greatest displays of automotive ingenuity
