Out of curiosity how many kilometers do you get on a single charge? Also where did you get all the parts to do this conversion?

Cool Car :D

Ha! No, I'd make it to Aldergrove, maybe. That's where my party would have to be!

I have yet to fully test the range. Right now in winter the range is reduced quite a bit because of cold batteries and heater use, although my heater isn't very powerful and doesn't do that much to reduce range. The furthest I have driven so far is 15 km and there was still lots left. I am expecting a max range of 30 km in summer. Since this was a low budget conversion, total range reflects that. If I actually needed lots of range, I could have dropped $10K on a beautiful lithium battery pack to get me 3 times as far.

Parts were bought all over the place. The motor is a used forklift motor from an EV conversion company. Motor controller, vacuum pump, volt gauges, etc. from eBay. Wiring and stuff from a local hardware store. Some specialty parts from cloudelectric.com.

Sorry...I had the engine on Craigslist since I removed the engine from the car. When people found out that it had 281000 km (175000 mi) on it, they quickly hung up! I had to clean the garage, so I scrapped it. I kept a piston as a souvenir if you want that.
