Anyway my poor Subie has lots of miles on it so until I do a swap I keep the rpms reasonable,,,,most of the time. I was suppose to buy a low mileage one last week but I bought a RV for the GF instead. Not sure how that happened???

Yes the stock k8 ecu will work in conjunction with the stock je50 vaf, it wont run great but it will run good enough to give you an idea of the power difference and till you find a better setup.
