i don't know with ATX's but i know with MTX's the speedo sensors are different, the 94+ (DOHC) are electric, and the 92-93's (SOHC) are cable

ok question? why do the junkyards tell me conflicting information. they all tell me only an mx-3 automatic tranny will work, then some say only a 94 will work or only a 94-95 but then some say 93-95. these are the model year i am refering to. just confused. i am planning on trying to get the a 92 mx-3 sohc mtx for $500. best deal since i get everything i need. still not sure about the ecu if i can use my old one or have to use the sohc's ecu on my dohc idk if thats even posible i hope the TPS Sensor will work.

thanks too everyone for your help. i know that some had trouble awnsering me its all good. i guess its just easier too tell me to search. maybe i asked cause i could not find what i was looking for or i am just bad at searching. sorry to make someone annoyed, thats the one thing i am good at. lol...
n e way thanks for the info and the spoon feeding. guess the forums have changed since the last time i used them. thanks mx-3.com i love the site and everything else no problems on your side. peace

Listen to us. Parts store people, dealership people, and most of all, scrap yard people, don't have a hot clue about which they speak. I've asked about where to find a MX-3 in a scrap yard and been pointed towards a Tiburon...

Ditto to what Ryan said. Today I went in asking if they had any MX-3s, the girl behind the counter didn't even look it up(This JY has thousands of cars, 3 of which are MX-3s). Good thing I knew to ignore anyone behind that counter, and went "for a walk" behind the fence. Didn't take me long to see the hatches propped open all funny-like.

I don't trust it. I know more of them are compatible that they don't list, or list incorrectly.

If you want to try the swap, just try it, but please let us know if it works.

no i am going with the mtx just had to sit down and think about the the pros and cons. and when i think about messing with this atx for a 4th time just send pain in to my bank account. lol i think its more cost effective to go with mtx. more fun to lol. i just thought that that info on that page may help someone. i do have a post in the want to buy section, asking for all the parts i would need. thanks Ryan i really do value your input.
