Fake. Those are a Volk AV/GT-AV, so still made by Rays/Volk who make the MS-01 Mazdaspeed rims, but those have just been rebranded by someone to look like the MS-01.

Very little genuine Mazdaspeed stuff actually uses the stylised 'MS' logo, and certainly not on centre caps. Hope that helps! :)
Sorry to burst in on you, wyt.
Marc, my sincere condolences about this incident of yours. On the bright side, it looks like you should be able to recover your losses with all those parts. I myself would be interested in those sides but it looks like some people have already beat me to it. Best of luck.
Thanks guys :) that makes it much easier to price these to sell. Being Rays/Volk a sale shouldn't be too bad to make.

Thanks _-Night-Shade-_ , yea I hope so, I spent alot on travel too but hopefully it will cover alot of it. For now though it stays as one, as I'm weighing up taking him to small claims court, as I have a particular dislike for people who have no remorse for wrong doings.

I'm normally the kind of guy that thinks people sue too much, but in your instance I'd do it. He KNEW the car was junk (probably why he put it on ebay), and sold it with a lot of false info. He obviously doesn't care so I'd say in this instance sue his a-- off.

I think I'd be looking for people to buy the guy's kidneys about now... He owes you some money. :(

If getting a refund doesn't pan out, I'm VERY interested in the rear Eunos badge. I'm assuming you mean the plastic that goes over the rear of the hatch and lights up? If so, I'd like first crack at it please. =)

Best of luck with it. He owes you at least half of the money. Hate to say it but you should've had it inspected before buying it.
He doesn't even have good feedback, I stay away from sellers like that.

Oh I know, it was a gamble, one that I took on the fallback of parting out. I nearly bought a full inspection but that costs £150-£200. For a £887 car I couldn't justify it. So a friend on uk-mx3 checked it out for me, alas he didn't spot the rust issues. That combined with only seriously considering it days before auction end... Live and learn! Court isn't about the money, it's about not letting someone get away with such deplorable attitude and ethics.

Good to hear interest in the parts :) I'll make a thread when the time comes.

Sorry to hear that Marc.

Really hope you can get some money back because this is just crazy how much is untrue.

Correct me if I am wrong but Brembo never made calipers for our car???
Also if you were to ever purchase a vehicle without seeing it first hand. I would suggest only doing it after seeing HIGH RESOLUTION photos of every part of the vehicle. You can buy 10mega pixel cameras now for 100 bucks. If someone isn't willing to take 30 photos of a car for you then obviously they are hiding something.

But major sucks.. I trust no one.

Yea as I said I bought it with the fallback of selling parts. I also had a ukmx3 member check it out. Alas he didn't spot the issues. Such is life. An official assessment would have cost a quarter the car value - bear in mind the car was a plane, 900km drive and a ferry away. The description was very vivid, yet transpired to be very false. As a result the seller is soon to have a criminal offence recorded against his name as the car has been officially declared unroadworthy. Indeed trust is misplaced easily these days.

About time somebody had consequences for screwing someone else... Any word on a refund?

Sorry man, I spied that car and even had it as my screen saver.............Hopefully you can cat your $$$ back in parts or find a car to put the parts on. I'm very interested to know if it actually came with an lsd from the factory???????????

When you said you wired the $$$ did you by chance use paypal???????? If so, you can file a claim on there and freeze his funds.

Wow I just watched the videos and I'm straight up ticked for you man............ I had a local kid tell me about his for sale mx3 just north of me here in NY. He said there was no rust on the car and I agreed to come up and buy the car from him. Anywho when I arrived with the car dolly to tow it home I could see the ground through the floor.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! i commented on the rust video. but damn i feel so bad for you man. like holy eff. i hope you get some cash back or at least get that guy a criminal record. stupid kid's these days need to learn the rights and wrongs of selling cars. i name off rock chips in a bumper if im selling a car. i dont see a point in bullcrapping people about this stuff. but in the end, i see ALOT of money coming your way for parts on this car. im interested in the rims. and the front bumper and hood. if your interested in selling them. and if it has a LSD. I CALL DIBS! money isnt a problem if it has a LSD. i pay well. best of luck to you and taking that pos person down. if you dont get him a record. take his fingers.

Was just wondering what you decided to do with your car? Fix it, sell it, part it? I was just thinking about your car :)

I'll second that question... If you did/do decide to part, I'm still very interested in some things.
