MX-3.com

I'm thinking of modifying the floor brackets. Going to put my new mig welder & grinder to good use.

Need to find my camera before I jump on anything though since I want to make a lengthy work log with lots of photos

Will RX-8 seats fit the MX-3 if modified to MX-3 brackets ?

Anyone done this yet , results ?

You can modify/make new floor brackets to fit almost any seat.

Or just weld the new seat onto the MX-3 slider/rails. You might have a funny height though

Height is a concern of mine right now as well as depth of the seat. I mostly want more comfort without compromising those other two things.

I found a kick a-- deal on a seat of newish black RX-8 seats for 100.00 so I figured i'd do some looking into before I pulled the trigger on em'

If they're loose, maybe take an MX seat along, and just measure some things up, see if you can weld it onto the MX rails, or if it will fit in the tunnel that the MX seat sits in (area between jamb and exhaust tunnel)

I'll back down tomorrow with a measuring tape =D I might even pull out the passanger seat and see if he'll let me set in the seat from the RX-8 and if it fits i'll buy them both since they should technically be the same size.

Even if I can't have them slide I can always create stationary brackets for my desired depth I suppose =)

DS and PS seats are exactly the same Well, the rails aren't, they're mirror images.

Haha I went down there and they closed at 1pm grrr. Try again tomorrow !
