I have those rims. With 215/45/17. Got a super deal, $150 with all good rubber.

for the record, I had them about 3 months ago, haha.

Re: What do you think? 205/50/r15 Motegi R7
lol seems to be the new trend... do you have any rubbing? tires on mine are 225/45/17 and im wondering if there going to fit alright. im going to replace the front tires with 205/40/17 but figured id throw the bigger ones on the rear until they need to be replaced.

they fit on my friend's 323 without rubbing, so I would say so. Haven't tried them though.

If you are not lowered they should work, that tire is pretty oversized though. ZYour best bet is to run 215 40 17 or 205 45 17 when you get a chance to replace. 205 40 is too small IMO.

Re: What do you think? 205/50/r15 Motegi R7
some even better deals then me haha.
But they all look great! I'm glad I got them in a smaller size though.. The 1-inch difference really shows on my front bumper haha.

204 40 is not closest to stock, its smaller. 215 40 is the closest.mikeinaus wrote:oh i thought 205/40 was closest to stock? whatd give the most accurate speedo reading?

50 a wheel for sandblast and powdercoat. There was no curb damage though
Re: What do you think? 205/50/r15 Motegi R7
I have 205/40/17 and when compared to the stock tire height they seemed the same. I would go with a 45 just to get the extra height and add 4mph onto the speedo for the same rpm. I actually think the car would look better with a bit more rubber exposed. My car is lowered 1.5"
I can't remember, what is stock tire size?

205 45 is actually larger then stock but not by much 215 40 is almost dead on. Here is a awesome site to determine what tire to use:

Re: What do you think? 205/50/r15 Motegi R7
Thanks for the info. 16's probably are the best selection for a rim but I'm basing that on the sh*tty roads we drive on. I've almost lost my front end a few times hitting bloody big bumps in the road. 16's would give a little more cushion I think because you have more rubber between the road and the rim. There's roads here in Trenton I avoid because they suck so bad. What makes me laugh is some of the priciest homes are built there.
Suckers

Re: What do you think? 205/50/r15 Motegi R7
YW. Thats one of the reasons I got 16s, abit more rubber without sacrificing style. I am running a 205 50 now, but next tires will be 205 45 or 215 45 (hard to find) as I have abit of rubbing issues with my ride height.. Go Figure.Daninski wrote:Thanks for the info. 16's probably are the best selection for a rim but I'm basing that on the sh*tty roads we drive on. Re: What do you think? 205/50/r15 Motegi R7
215/40/17 FTW

Re: What do you think? 205/50/r15 Motegi R7
those 15's look good on the car -- i didn't think they would. i think the silver would look better, now that i see the photoshop, but i wouldn't do it unless i got a great deal on it.
there is no direct equivalent in the 17 inch. 205/40/17 is slightly too small, 215/40/17 is slightly too large. the +/- is the same, so they will both be equally inaccurate on the speedo, in opposite directions. if there were such a thing as 210, that would be perfect. i use 205/40 because they are cheaper

Re: What do you think? 205/50/r15 Motegi R7
215 40 is actually almost dead even to the stock tire size, its only a tad bit smaller. Not larger. 205 40 is quite abit smaller. Look at the calculator I posted up
