I've gone through the shop manuals for all the related mazdas.....
F guts interchange
G guts interchange
v6 and I4 housings interchange between G's, but not between F's and G's as there was no F v6.
F was the sissy one
G was the beefy one
You can put BP tranny guts into a v6 tranny case. /end
bought the wrong transmission :(
