The KF ZE is really untested. If you don't get it running right, and don't get a good ECU and VAF combo, I would say it has much more chances of failing e-test than a KLZE does. I know ALOT of people with KLZE that pass e-test. If you search under my post, you'll see I have my results posted. She did 2 e-test, tested as a K8, and passed with flying colors and with no EGR, running a KL36 ECU. My K8 failed her e-test. As long as it's setup properly she'll pass, which include properly functioning O2 sensors. If you worried about e-tests, go with tried-and-true setups of those who have passed. Those who fail either do the swap on the cheap or go and do some weird setups, including chipped ECU's from unknown companies.

I wish you luck with your KF, but odds are stacked quite high against you.

Update to the post, Here in GA were i live ther is no emission testing.

i have gotten the kf running, the car had a bad ecu the entire time.
the kfze is up and running on a kl02vaf and a kl57 ecu.

it does run a tad rich but, i plan on getting a dyno in the next cpl months at school. maybe this month. i just wish we had a/f readings on our dyno.

my escott dyno'd at school with 147tq and 145hp at the wheels.
The mx3 feels faster as of now and its untuned. so im guessing the kf with all boltons might be around 160hp 140tq maybe.
