I did, yea.. and it certainly helped. The problem is I was working in the dark with only a handheld fluorescent light.... I couldn't see what I was doing.

Well here's an emo shot of my respray:
There are some runs and a couple orange peel areas I'll have to sand out, but the paint's not completely cured yet. All in all, a definite improvement. But god painting's hard.
I still have to do the hatch and the bumpers/fenders, but I'll do that when I replace them.

lol i sort of enjoyed my car when it was a bondo buggy, blue door purple bumper mx3. especially when it was completely sanded down before paint. it was a total sleeper.

Ya you know it wasn't the work that was getting to me .. it was actually kinda fun... the problem was I was doing this all in a parking garage and I knew at any moment all hell could break loose and the building owner would fly off the handle... which he did, right after I finished my last coat.
I was always working under a frustrating time pressure, and learning at the same time. Bad combination.

This should be a lot easier to paint since I can do it on my balcony during the day instead of in a dark garage.
