Thanks for the response guys, seems like its getting alittle more into the electrical and away from mechanical.
If anyone else has anything they could suggest that i check, it would be great.
I am almost at the point where I think I may just take it into a mechanic and get them to deal with it =(
Thanks again

92-93 have cam angle sensors don't they. So the Disty isn't reverse compatable. Remove the bottom back seat and see if the fuel pump is getting voltage. If not I'll bet it's the crank sensor. It sends power to both the ignition and fuel pump on startup. Or crank the engine and have someone listen for the fuel pump. Kinda sucks buying stiff if you haven't confirmed whats wrong. Not bad if stuffs cheap but Disties cost as does the ECU.

yeah i was thinking checking the fuel would be my next step, but if i wasnt getting any fuel i would still get a spark right? and yeah the disty. was alot more expensive than i thought!

No. If your crank angle sensor is no good you won't get fuel or spark.

hey all!
a buddy at work gave me an interesting theory on what my problem could be, i would like some second thoughts.
1) Check the main relay
2) The car has a passive immobilizer on it. is it possible it could be malfunctioning or anything of that sort?
3) I'm not exactly 100% but the car appears to have a security system installed but it seems that system isnt even hooked up. yet the blue light is on when the battery is hooked up. is it possible the security system is active and somehow immobilizing the vehicle?
any input helpful.
remember this is my first vehicle and i have little to no knowledge of mechanics (however i am learning quite a bit)
thanks again
