What about the mercury capri / xr2?

That had the 1.6 with a funny looking intake manifold.

1994 MX-3 1.6L B6DE 16v DOHC - rear disc swap, nix power steering/ac, Corksport f&r strut tower bars, Pedders urethane control arm bushings, urethane motor mounts, steel braided brake lines, painted dash, protege tranny

there's one at my junkers. Want it?

It's very possibly a good option. With the throttle body in the middle, that's the most beneficial spot to place it.

That and they got cool valve covers. I DO have one at my junkers, is why I mentioned it.

It's the non turbo. I do believe. Maybe. I dunno. Or do, I dunno.
