sounds like every car should be tested for this, lol..ive seen alot of rusted out peices of crap id like to see take the "float test"

when mine hydrolocked, it didnt float.. luck was on my side tho..
the starter shorted out and didnt let me start the engine again. No water inside the cabin.
I got home next day.. sucked the watger out with a water vacuum cleaner.. dripped oil in the pistons.. and oil flush (lookined like chocolate milk) and walla engine started and compression was good.(on a kfze)
The ironically.. when i took the engine out..i left it in my yard.. we had a flash flood and there went the engine lol it rused inside out.

sweet** i think you may have something here! its time to get the mx-3's sea legs pronto! haha i wouldnt be suprised if this news doesnt spawn a next gen mx-3 aqua machine***

I waterproofed my doors, and will be completely covering the bottom of my car with foamcore plastic.. I bet it would float well, but I hope I NEVER find out!
