Re: What are your hobbies?
I'm 26, and a third/fourth year Mechanical Engineering student at the U of Manitoba. I screwed around quite a bit after high school and messed my life up pretty good (drug and legal related matters).
However, I've been clean since March 2003, when I returned to university, and am pulling off straight A's.
I don't intend to live in order to work, but rather to work in order to live. There's too many other things to experience and enjoy, instead of being a complete slave to the allmighty dollar.
I LOVE working on my car. I sometimes find myself quite far behind in my courses because I get swept away in it and this forum.
There should be a nerd emoticon, with glasses with tape in the middle.

Re: What are your hobbies?
well i used to be a artist, started a comic book, childrens book, native carvings, painting etc, used to play games, tinker/fix electronics, go out to the bars, learn japanese and other fun stuff. that is when i used to have time and a life. now its work minimun 8 hours a day, up to 13, 5-7 days a week, help my friends out when i can, as well as looking after my disabled mother for the last bunch of years (and other family members).

Re: What are your hobbies?
Well, every night my accomplice and I try to take over the world.
Summertime:
# I once did a 24 mile hike (10 miles without water) and besides the major dehydration, I thought it was so freakin' fun
# When the rivers dry up, it's so fun to boulder up the dry riverbed
# Definitely camping
# Down at the canyon there's some amazingly clean waterholes to swim in
# Workin' on the MX-3's!
Wintertime:
# Guitar Hero Time!
# Caving
# Hibernating
Hate winter. I thought I liked it until I moved to tennessee, then I realized, I hate winter.
I also love to collect old video games. I'm talking about, still-in-original-boxes nintendo, got a genesis/super nintendo new in box, it's probably the most nerdiest collection one's ever seen.
I still love to plug in the old super nintendo and rock out some mario all-stars on the 10 foot projector. It's like my childhood dream come true: lifesize mario!

hmmm...Hobbies?
I love working part time at a performance/speed/rotary shop (learning as much as I can) so between that and my full-time job, looking to buy a home and sleeping...I like to do the things below:
Car shows, paintball, an addiction to MX-3.com, ebay, craigslist, and clubprotege (which I am on everyday)
Most recently I have been going indoor go-karting. Driving in general, and once / if ever my mx-3 is done (and/or my rx-7) I would like to try drag-racing, auto-X, HPDE, track days etc... (the MOCA guys pictures and talk make it sound very fun to do/learn).

Re: What are your hobbies?
I knew this would be interesting, and I'm impressed. I wish I could put us all together for a show.
I used to be an adrenaline junkie, but almost dying wasn't worth it anymore when I got stuck between rocks @ the bottom of a waterfall last year.
To keep from getting boring, I'll just list a couple of my recent favorite hobbies.
DJing '80s dance music (I started a club on "the strip" in Waikiki), and promoted/ invested in a fetish club there, too, called "Dungeon" that was world known, and had celebrities show up (even mini-me!).
Mixed Martial arts prize fighting. I have a pretty good record, even though they put me up against locals that were out of my class.
Racing bicycles down ski slopes in the summer.
Swing dancing/ teaching.
Played drums in a few bands, including a prolific Jump Blues band
Going to Burning Man, and doing things most poeple would not believe (and some don't even after seeing evidence) http://www.burningman.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
etc..
Here is what I'm mostly into now, and pays the bills:

There's no trick. I just pick them up

I built the bed o' nails myself, without any idea how to do it.
It hurts
We practice 2x a week, and perform about once a week, on average.
We got to do a private party with the Beastie Boys, and some big events.
Pics don't do it justice. We have vidoes on YouTube, and our site http://www.kazum.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I of course like tinkering with the MX-3's and restoring an SL series Mercedes that I'm selling when it's done in a few months.

Re: What are your hobbies?
I'm 24 and I'm Quality Control Inspector for nuclear / petrochemical pressure vessels. Beside thinking crazing ideas for the mx-3 (like gull wing doors), I enjoy building pretty much anything. I usually get beckoned for welding
jobs by my friends (porsche exhaust). I also try to keep myself busy with learning new skills, sketching new ideas, and reading up on new engineering feats that our world has come up with. I am glad winter's amost over so I can do some rock climbing, blading, weapon combat practice, car shows, the track. I hope to get to an mx-3 meet this year. Well I guess that's it. *Keep our rides alive*

Re: What are your hobbies?
I tinker. I like pulling my MX apart and putting it back together.
Same with my home electronics.
I built a hand crank generator powered portable stereo system in grade 9.
I like to read, when I find something that actually gets my interest. I don't then stop untill I have finished the entire series. (Dune, Foundation, Twilight, TedDekkers colour trilogy...)
I sit on this forum for probably 3 hours a day, minimum.
I used to be an avid Starcraft player.
My girlfriend is fun to be around.
I love drafting and design. I love conceptualizing. (mechanics, not children)
I love driving
Baking
Writing fiction
