Well , high price doesn't always reflect that you are getting ripped off either , One company can have a suede seat cover for 400 and another for 600 , they could pay 4.25 a yard one place from their supplier at one place and 6.00 a yard at the other , That can be one reason they are different prices , and in that same note , not all things are equal , that fabric that they paid 4.25 for may be a lesser quality than that fabric the other company that pays 6.00 per yard. A thing you may have to research is where they get their fabric from , what thread count it is , does it have any type of warranty , and what kind of wear characteristics it has .

Or you can just get off your butt order some fabric and get your hands dirty

Actually.. anytime you pay more for a good or service than its worth.. your getting ripped off. This is implying that the good or service offered is obviously inferior quality regardless of the price variances. Thats why there is the "Buyer Beware" type of mentality. People charge outrageous prices for crap because a lot of people are dumb enough to pay for it. Just cause 100,000 people pay that much for some good or service doesnt mean it was worth that.. it just means they were either to unskilled to do it themselves, too lazy, or too stupid. Or there are also the people that think if they spend a huge amount of cash that they are somehow getting "The Best" available. Usually these people end up driving hummers and have weekly visits with their shrinks over their lack of self esteem.

$1500 to recover a pair of bucket seats is a freaking rip off. The only people that would pay for that would be people building a show car or people that have no concept of the value of money. You could buy silk to recover your seats in and it wouldnt be worth that. You can buy NEW seats from MAZDA for that price. So while your argument that high price doesnt always reflect that you are getting ripped off may be true in other situations.. this is definitely not one of them.. this falls under the "A fool and his money are soon parted" concept.

You need not worry about my seat situation.. I will find a solution to this issue without sacrificing quality and without getting ripped off. And when I am done.. I might even share the solution so that others dont get ripped off by overpriced interior shops as well. I hope they go out of business.. they wont.. cause there are wayyy to many stupid people out there to feed their coffers.

hey guys, I recently just picked up a full interior off the for sale section on here, im sure a lot of you guys saw these but just thougth I would share my part on this conversation, I say get the job done right only because this interior was definately done by someone that did not do a fantastic job, maybe new at doing it or was just not careful enough, guy that I bought them off paid a decent amount of money for it too, he says $1200 which is not a bad price for the full interior. It included front seats, rear seats, door panels, and rear panels. Anywyas overall its in pretty good shape but the passanger side rear panel is pretty messed up around the edges which is barely noticable once the rear seat is in, the seats are all in great shape except for a rip and a slight fade which is not the guy that did the jobs fault, thats just normal wear and tear, but the door panels are not done spectacular either, mostly around the door handle and around spots where its smaller which is understandable. Anywyas I still love this interior so much as it looks really good and I got it for a good price too. Check out the pics.

Nah man.. just too much red for my taste.. nothing wrong with it other than personal taste :) If you like it thats all that matters. For my interior I would like to go all black if I can. Cheers :)

Well I managed to get my seats done.. there are a couple of bad pics in my worklog now (camera suks) and I will get more pics when I get them into the car in a few days. Total cost for recovering my seats was $434.18. Very good quality and a very durable fabric. Even got my logo on the headrests ;) So the lesson here is really.. keep calling and checking places until you find a reasonable shop. Cause apparently most interior shops have pass on extremely high prices to their customers so they can pay their male workers a LOT of cash just to hide the fact that they know how to sew ;) j/k LOL
