Ok so I finally got every thing straight with both my insurance company and his and this ,orning they sent an estimator to look at the car. He calculated the car at being worth somthing like 2539 bucks and it costing 2600 to have the car repaired so its considered a total wreck or lose or somthing. So I have the option of taking the 2500 ang giving them my car or keeping the car and setteling for less money. I told him that I wanted to keep the car but I needed to know how much they are going to offer me going that route so there suppost to get back to me within three days on that. My question is should I take the 2500 bucks and my system and run or try to get the cash and keep the car? I can do most of the repairs myself. I took the fender and bumper off and there wasnt alot of damage to the frame. So at worst i would have to get a new fender, bumper, and lights and ride around with a primered front end for awhile.
Thanks for all the help guys.

Depending on how much they plan to give you if you keep the ride... I'ld just fix her up and get her painted.

If you don't give them the car they subtract the price of the car (in current condition) and the salvage fee. When I lost my civic it was 600 less to keep the car (which I didn't). Shop around and you could probably source a fender, bumper, and hood for cheap; possibly buy a real cheap parts car to do so. 2000 should easily cover the damage.

Well the main deal here is: Can you get a car that better than what your current car would be after you fix it with with the money that you get from your insurance company?
frankly i think that fixing the fender bumper and head light would be the best ESPECIALLY if you do most of it yourself. They overprice things quite often and labour is huge. Also, look into getting a mazda speed front bumper because after market bumpers are alot cheaper. Headlight: look on ebay for jdm, or get a pair of junkered ones and shine em up. Fender: it's all you..dolly it out, and if worse comes to worse, get a junkered one OR a pair of Z3 fenders hah...
spending abit of cash to fix the car you have now is better than trying to buy another for 2500 dollars in the same shape.
keep it.

Great news. The insurance company came through. They estimated the car worth 2539 bucks and offered me 2800 for the car and I asked them to find out how much they could give me if I got to keep the car. They called me back last night and said I could keep it for 2564and some change. So Im fixing it up. Thanks for all. So far Ive ordered some civic projectors and Im looking into finding a fener and hood.

**Edit**
Now that Ive got a number to work with I was looking on e-bay for ful body kits and I came accross a duraflex drift kit and I like the look of it. Its made of something other than fiber glass so it can flex but it cost more. I found the same kit in fiber for like 550 shipped. would it be a better idea to get the dura flex one?
