I dont know if this is the coreect/necessary sequence - but it has worked for me before -
Warm up to operating temperature (if cold)
Turn off ignition
Jump TEN->GND
Turn on ignition (just to verify that there are no codes)
Crank engine
Adjust idle
Turn off engine/ignition
Remove jumper
Start engine to verify idle setting

Ever try to change out the fuel filter in the engine compartment??

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!


The problem with my idle was solved with a new oxygen sensor. Not exactly cheap but I dont care cuz my car is fun to drive again!!!!!!!!
