A deep red or just return to a good shiney black. Good luck with the interior. I'm working on reapholstering now and it is more difficult than I had anticipated.... But maybe that is my lack of attention in Home Economics class coming out

first welcome to the group... i hope the mx does well by you... second i would paint it a color tha tyou like a lot if you have a fav color or something go with that... so far i like the idea of black with pink accents.. that sounds really nice actually... oh and if you do happen to start thinking about manual... i have a gs that i'm taking apart to turn into a gtr mx3 (built and turbo'd bp engine mated to gtr awd system) so i'll be selling everything to convert to mtx for the v6 car

Dallas suggestion was pink, and it's not my favorite color, but I like the combo with black. I was thinking purple because I saw alot of purple accessories (seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats) in purple, but I found this really neat fabric that's balck and green, and I was thinking it would look cool as a headliner... :?

I hope to never have to sell the car. They can bury me in it! :D

Hey, Pat, we have met before but it was briefly and a while back. Remember the shitty piece of an mx you helped us with in Atlanta? You, Brian, and Justin were awesome, and thanks again for letting us waste your time!

Save your money for a transmission rebuild ($1200) because thats what your going to need with that automatic tranny

Thanks!

I have done my research and I knew that going in. I've tried to drive a stick and I really defeat myself before I even start, so as bad as it may sound, replacing the tranny is worth it to me.

Finally got the KLZE shipped!

Moved it to work site (currently covered with a tarp under shelter to protect from the rain). Might get working on it a bit tomorrow...

hopefully the guide Dallas printed out (posted by Pat) will be a sufficient guide.

When they ripped this engine, they literally did just that. Every hose and wire was cut (including the cv axles....)

*sigh* greasy time!

Well the swap barely got started.

We got the bumper and headlights removed, plus a few other things like the mass air flow sensor...

But the problem is Dallas doesn't know what every hose and wire is called (we'll probably end up labeling them with numbers or letters)...

And the "what if the KLZE auto tranny doesn't fit?" question is still hanging in the air...

On the upside, I finally know how to actually change my oil if I ever have to (which i'm sure is something most people already know around here...but I'm happy...I'm learning)...

Actually everything with the car has come to a dead stop, and now I'm trying to do anything with it (mainly sell it, or I'm gonns have to haul it to a junkyard, and take what I can get for it)...

I'm making payments on an 02 Jeep now though that looks pretty sweet.
