It depends on how much blow by you get. if i had one i would never have to empty it. but most of them have an indicator on the side to see how full it is.Shades wrote:But aren't the vast network of baffles in the valve cover suppose to work the oil out?
I've taken a valve cover apart, and there are I think at least 2 or 3 compartments that the air from the head has to go thru to exit thru that hole.
It's just interesting how oil still gets thru...
If you throw an oil catch can in, how often do you have to empty it?
