I remeber seeing Dave Lauzier at a drag race doing back a few years just after his car came off the scales. He wasn't happy his car weighed 1098kg with the entire interior stripped, P/S rack replaced with the lighter 323 manual rack, rear disc converted to drums, a 5 gal fuel cell replacing the stock gas tank, ultralite drag wheel and tire and bumper re-enforcements removed. The only additional weight in the car was a 6pt roll cage and wheelie bars.
My own car recently came off the scales at 1286kg with the cargo area stripped of all the additional hardward and rear seat and only 8 liter of fuel in the tank. There might be another 40-45kg of weight in the car that wasn't there when it left the factory but of the other hand there is some factory equipment that was removed years ago like the A/C compressor that probably cancels that out.

My car tips the scales at 2620 or so, with about 1/4 tank of gas, no driver.
I have a turbo kit and a FULL interior though too, on a 94 GS with airbags and such, kept a/c and PS. Also have a CD player and everything. Stripping a daily driven car for a few tenths in the 1/4 is ridiculous, just make some more power.
I'm expecting to add about 50-60 lbs onto that weight with my new turbo kit I'm building.

The title to my 92 GS that came with A/C, MTX, and cloth interior says 2541.
With the ZE, leather seats, no interior from the front seats back, full tank of gas, and a box of craftsmen tools it weighed 2500 even.
Next time I weigh it I'm gonna make sure not to have so much gas and not have my tools in the back.

having completely stripped a MX3 down for racing, you have to get
extreme to get under the 900kg mark
there is
45kgs of underseal.
40kgs of back glass hatch.
10kgs of dash.
25kgs of wiring loom.
15kgs of sunroof ( better not to have one in the first place.)
This is after you have stripped everything and are looking.
My solution, slot the V6 into a 3door familia thats under 1000kg to
start with.

my gs with only the rear spare and seats remove weighted at 1020kg (2240lbs)
so I'm guessing the weight with everything in it is around 2300lbs

Holy crap there is some big variances with people who have actually had their cars weighed. Somebody's scales are off.
