I really, REALLY hope that they will continue to make the 323F/Lantis here in Europe. That at least is a pleasure to look at.
The Mazda 3 is not exactly ugly, it's just .. ordinary, which in it's own right is just as bad.<p>As the slogan of car-dealer here in Denmark says:
"Life is too short for boring cars."

unfortunately Mazda needs to make some money, as boring as the new 3 may look, it's practical and inoffensive, if it sells then maybe Mazda will earn enough $$$ to build the RX7 and hopefully a sporty 3! As beautiful as the Astina/323F was, it didn't sell

i dunno i kinda like it it def needs to lose two doors before i even consider takin a second look at it but as a prototype (if that is what it is) its not a bad lookin car for soccer moms<p>

I saw this car at a car show. It was actually pretty cool looking. I wouldnt buy it but its better then some. Mazda could have done better. I would def buy an RX-8 over it.

That looks almost identicle to the Protege5. Why would they come out with that when they already have basically the same car??

Well, thats what I am wondering too.
My guess is that this is a little bit smaller than the P5 or the P5 will be replaced by the Mazda3 since the Protege name is being dropped.<p>I would bet its the 2nd one however.

supposedly the p5 is going along with the protege. so therefore they needed something to take its place. they are making the sedan version and i imagine a coupe also. buti think they are bringing the wagon first for some reason.......again i am talking out of my A$$ so im not sure but this is what ive heard and would assume is going to happen.<p>

yeh we could only hope that the new mx3 (or 3 whateva) is over 600 horses stock...i dunno i kinda like the airplane thing though (could be fun)

I really hate to say it..but the front end on the new 3 looks like a PT Cruiser....uggggly!!!

actually they had a small car show in Dallas about a month ago and they showed the new Mazda3 and GOD is that thing sexy. only wish they would have let me bring my camera to show you all. its interior is super sexy and its exterior has its curves. i think its like and rx-7 and p5 in one. i give it 4/5 stars
